Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is the tourist name given to the Mediterranean coast located in southeastern Spain, in the province of Alicante , stretching from the town of Denia to Pilar de la Horadada . It comprises 244 km of Mediterranean beaches, coves, and cliffs.

Parks and Places

• Peñon de Ifach Natural Park. Symbol of the Costa Blanca, it rises in the sea like calcareous rock of about 50.000 m² to 332 m of height and one kilometer of length. United to land by a narrow isthmus, it is a product of a gliding of the near Oltá mountain range, constituting one of the geographical features of greater singularity and beauty not only of the Valencian Community, but of all the Mediterranean coast. It is a meeting point for climbers and divers from all over the world, who make use of their resistance in continuous challenge to nature for its walls and depths.
• Enginent Park.. Includes recreational facilities, children's play areas, barbecue, fountain, adequate furniture and sanitary.

• Vallesa Park. The enclosure, duly marked, forms a green zone of great ecological value, populated with trees and with vegetation of the region.
• Olta's Camping Zone.. Its facilities consist of a covered shed with a typical design of the rural architecture of the area, equipped with grills, sinks and toilets; Is supplied with potable water stored in a cistern located under the same hut. In the environs of the zone, there are several marked routes for the practice of the hiking.
• fishing port; Calpe was a fishing village, retaining a charming port and its fish market, where you can attend the fish auction.
• Club Nautico; with a modern and wide base with 264 moorings distributed in 7 pontoons with capacity for boats up to 30 m. It has a great variety of services and activities.
• Las Salinas… The position of the Peñón de Ifach is a decisive factor for the formation of this interesting humid area. The vegetation of this ecosystem is adapted to withstand the high saline concentrations of the soil and water. The fauna of the salt flats is mainly composed of migratory birds, which find this point as a place of rest and supply of the food resources they need during migratory periods. On the other hand, the importance of the salt flats as a humid zone within an area whose climate presents a significant period of summer drought is evident.
• La Forat del Mar. They are the remains that remain of what was the outer wall that surrounded the city.

Beaches

• Puerto Blanco Beach. It has 100 meters of extension and is of sand and pebbles.

• Levante Beach or La Fossa Beach . Located north of Peñón de Ifach, it has fine sand and extends for 2000 meters.

• Cantal Roig Beach . This beach, located next to the port and the Peñón de Ifach, has fine sand and is 200 meters long.

• Arenal-Bol Beach . Located in the urban area of ​​Calpe, it has fine sand and extends for 2000 meters.

Inlets

• Cala Calalga. Located at the end of the Levante beach. Calalga beach, 100 meters long, is made of boulders.

• Cala Racó del Corv. Accessible only by sea, located to the south of the coast of Calpe. This sandy beach and boulder is suitable for diving and fishing. It has an extension of 100 meters.

• Cala Gasparet . Located on the southern side of Toix, accessible only by sea. This pebble beach is suitable for diving and fishing. It stretches for 100 meters.

old town

Strolling through Calpe's old town (especially at night) is a true delight. Its narrow, cobbled streets, the remains of the city walls, and the atmosphere are a real treat.

Besides the aforementioned wall and the charm of strolling through the streets and the countless restaurants, the Torreó de la Peça, which is now the Museum of Collecting, is also of interest, as well as the square where the Church of Our Lady of the Snows is located, and its charming chapel.
